My own camera has a FOV of 70deg (they state - can't be certain how accurate that figure is) and it's an 8mp sensor. In terms of focal length, if you take a 50mm camera lens off a 35mm camera (full frame sensor) and put it on a camera with a smaller sensor it will be a telephoto with a much narrower FOV (field of view) It's not just the focal length of the lens you need to take into consideration, you also have to include the size of the sensor.
